Bulletin from the chair.

 

As minuted at the August Club meeting this is a request for members to consider getting involved with the working parties, organisational side of running our trials & maintaining equipment. This is aimed at the younger members as the current hard core working party average age is 80, at the Batcombe Trial we had two 80 year old Jim & myself) & two 86 year old (Mike Palfrey & John Foot) the later two were completely shattered after half the sections were marked out leaving us two youngsters to complete the course.

Further to the effort of marking out we have the storage & maintenance of the flags & section boards to cater for as Jim is considering relinquishing his roll of equipment officer at the end of this year.

I personally am happy to carry on performing the rolls of secretary of meeting & clerk of the course, providing there is no clash with my Scrambles events as usually happens with the October Trial.

So come on chaps it's time stand up & be counted & to put something into the Club or we may end up having to abandon some meetings or even dissolve the club.
